A Master Plan, which we drafted up in the year 2006 for the then existing leisure pool at the TURM ErlebnisCity, recommended progressive expansion of the existing sauna area.
The expansion was to create an independent and recognizable profile for the facility through the careful addition of selective spaces and usages. The chosen “Russian Sauna Village” theme led to many and varied ideas that were implemented in two steps.
Step I involved the addition of an F&B area to the existing Sauna Garden, as well as an Earth Sauna and a Russian-style Banja.
The Solarium built in Step II allows the visitor to use the new Lounge Deck or relax in front of the fireplace after visiting the sauna or any other treatment room, without being exposed to rain or snow – especially during the cooler seasons. In addition, the new 300sqm hall connects two newly built sauna buildings, adding a Panorama Sauna, as well as a Chimney Sauna to the existing range of attractions. The ground floors of these buildings house two additional relaxation areas that offer the visitor peace and quiet in secluded surroundings.
A third building, also placed within the Solarium, tops off the attractions on offer by means of two treatment rooms, as well as a shower and ice room.
