A holiday park with 1,000 residential units, a park centre and various indoor and outdoor leisure facilities was created on the site near Leutkirch.
The park centre forms an ensemble consisting of a central building with all-weather passage, indoor swimming pool, restaurants, cafés, play areas, supermarket, B2B, administration and office rooms, conference area, an adjoining depot and a children’s farm with petting zoo and learning and experience room for children.
The so-called Aqua Mundo, the subtropical indoor and leisure pool of Center Parcs, occupies the entire eastern third of the central building. It consists of four areas: the wave pool area with wave pool, lazyriver and a bubble seat pool; the central area with fun pool, climbing wall, slide facilities (4 tube slides and one wide slide) and the white-water channel; the children’s area with water playground, children’s pool and coral pool; and the outdoor pool which is open all year round.

The subdivision of the buildings’ dimensions and the staggered flat roofs resulted in a better integration of the architecture into the landscape. Thanks to the generous glazing to the southwest and the roof lighting, guests can experience the interior of the halls as an outdoor space.
For the exterior façade and the interior design, mainly natural-looking, restrained materials and colours – such as wood and shades of green and intensive planting – were used.
